Snow crab legs are pre-cooked and can be prepared in a variety of ways. Our favorite it to steam them. To do this simply add 2 inches of water in the bottom of pot and bring to a boil. Place a basket into the pot and place your crab legs into the basket. Top with a lid and let the crabs steam for approximately 5-7 min. Remove from the pot, sprinkle Harbour House Crabs seasoning and serve. Snow crab legs are commonly served with melted butter and lemon wedges too.
Alaskan King crabs can live for 10 to over 20 years!

4 Ways to Cook Maine Lobster Tails

It can feel intimidating purchasing Maine lobster tails online when you’re unsure how to prepare them properly. The good news is that cooking lobster tails is a lot easier than it seems! By following these simple instructions for cooking Maine lobster tails, you can impress friends and family effortlessly!

Choose your preferred cooking method below and dive into the culinary experience of Maine seafood:

Steamed Lobster Tails

Measure a cup of water into a large pan and add salt. Bring the water to a boil on your stovetop. Place a steaming rack inside the pan, and then set to work putting a skewer or cocktail stick through the center of the lobster tail (lengthwise). Rest the legs on the steaming rack and cover the pan with a lid. Steam the tails for 7-8 minutes. Serve immediately.

Boiled Lobster Tails

Fill a saucepan with water, add a teaspoon of salt, and bring the water to a boil. Place the lobster tails in the water. Boil the tails for 1 minute per oz of total weight. For example, if you are boiling 5 oz of lobster tails, you will need to cook them for 5 minutes. Serve with melted butter.

Baked Lobster Tails

Preheat the oven to 400°F (or 200°C). While you’re waiting, cut the soft shell of the lobster tail in half lengthwise. Rest the cut tails on a baking tray and brush them with melted butter. Once the oven is preheated, bake the lobster tails for 8-10 minutes.

Grilled Lobster Tails

Before you grill your Maine lobster tails, you’ll need to prep them using processes similar to the boiling and baking methods. First, skewer your lobster tails like you would if steaming them. Fill a large saucepan with salted water like you would if you were going to boil the lobster tails. Then, bring the water to a roiling boil, add the lobster tails to the pan, and cook for 4 minutes.
After this time, remove the tails and position them on their backs. Let them cool slightly before splitting the soft top shell of the tail lengthwise down the middle. Drizzle (or drench) the meat with melted butter and lemon juice. Finally, place the lobster tails shell-side down in a preheated grill and grill for 7-8 minutes on medium-hot heat. The meat is ready when it is opaque and firm to the touch.

Best Side Dishes for Lobster Tails

We’re firm believers you can never go wrong dressing up (or dressing down) your Maine lobster tails. Whether you go the more traditional route of pairing your tails with potatoes and corn on the cob or try something more exotic, the sweet, tender lobster will be the star of the show. Here are some of our favorite side dishes to pair with Maine lobster tails:
